Our story

Born from seeing families turned away—and opening the door.

Founders Novella Bailey and Kim Charles began their work in childcare in 1997. When families of children with complex medical needs and disabilities struggled to find appropriate care, they expanded their services to welcome and support them.

They founded Wee Love Kids, Inc. in 2000 to deepen that commitment. Over the years, the organization’s work has included inclusive childcare, temporary housing support, youth mentoring, family resource connections, and advocacy for children awaiting organ transplants.

The young advocate pictured here is Joshua D. Bailey, whose childhood kidney-donation awareness campaign became part of the organization’s history of speaking up for children with urgent medical needs.
